The AAAE/ACC Airport Planning, Design, & Construction Symposium is the best technical aviation event for young professionals (YPs). ACC champions young professionals throughout the event and more YPs attend yearly.
The Young Professionals Program is designed to support and assist YPs in getting the most out of the Symposium. Build networks, gain mentors, and immerse yourself in all the event offers.
Why Should Young Professionals Attend?
By attending the Symposium, young professionals can gain access to the latest critical industry developments, airport representatives and potential project partners. The three-day event hosts five unique tracks designed to educate and inspire while providing needed accreditations to further careers.
Additionally, ACC has developed a program specifically for young professionals that provides networking opportunities with the support of mentors and peers. Throughout the event, young professionals are invited to participate in a reception and activities to welcome them to the industry and grow connections that will last for years.

Innovation Competition

Young Professionals Reception
Traditionally held the night before the Symposium begins, the reception welcomes young professionals to the event. Young professionals mingle with seasoned aviation professionals, allowing them to build those working relationships.
Scavenger Hunt
Young professionals can participate in a scavenger hunt held throughout the event. They will work with teams and mentors. The teams will decipher clues to hunt down various volunteer attendees. Teams are supported by a mentor who will work with them by making introductions and leading them through the activity. Young professional teams are also eligible to win prizes!

Ways to Get Involved
The ACC Young Professionals Committee is active year-round. The group hosts quarterly webinars, collaborates with industry peers, organizes regional networking events, and holds leadership positions in various ACC committees. Any ACC member under 35 can sign up!
