ACC News | Marie Trottier Recipients of the 2025 ACC Agency Best Practices Award

The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) is pleased to announce its 2025 award recipients, recognizing individuals who have had tangible impacts on the airport development industry and the ACC community. These awards were announced at the 47th ACC Annual Conference in Philadelphia, PA, during the annual membership meeting on Friday, November 7, 2025, by 2025 ACC Board Chair Nick Ryan with Arora Engineers.

Marie Trottier, who was Senior Policy Advisor, Tribal Affairs Liaison, and Outreach Program Manager at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), received the 2025 Agency Best Practices Award. The award was initially announced on September 30, 2025, at the ACI Public Safety and Security / ACC Security Technical Conference and presented to the TSA’s Supriya Raman with the Office of Civil Rights.

The ACC Agency Best Practices Award recognizes valuable industry partners within TSA, FAA, and other suitable organizations for the work they do each day as they engage with industry and stakeholders. The selection criteria for the award are based on the extent to which contributions meet the following criteria: showing a spirit of streamlining; going above and beyond to collaborate with stakeholders; exemplifying teamwork; initiating or participating in an innovative project; and remaining flexible and working to benefit all involved.

Marie, who passed away earlier this year, was recognized for her role in leading outreach and engagement with multicultural organizations across the US, as well as for working with airports to enhance multicultural awareness and competencies. In remarks during the September conference, ACC President T.J. Schulz noted that Marie was an incredibly talented and dedicated public servant who admirably represented TSA in stakeholder meetings and engagements with a variety of aviation and travel stakeholders, providing them a voice in how to make travel and the security screening process more dignified and understandable.
