ACC News | ACC Submits Comments to USDOT on Regulatory Reform

ACC submitted comments this week in response to a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) seeking recommendations on reducing regulatory burdens and costs. ACC called for the formation of a “transformative initiative” between the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and industry stakeholders “to identify ways to reduce unnecessary requirements on airport sponsors to apply for and comply with regulatory conditions that accompany federal grants and Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) applications.” ACC outlined overarching goals that should be achieved in finding regulatory and process reforms. The ACC Reauthorization Committee will meet on May 20 to review new FAA policy directives and workforce issues.
