ACC joined representatives from the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) to provide perspectives on the opportunities and challenges presented by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) during the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Spring Legislative Conference. ACC President T.J. Schulz described the funding programs for airports provided under BIL, and the progress by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in implementing the grant funding. The panel discussed challenges facing the general transportation infrastructure industry including the level of talent available, constraints in the supply chains, and increasing costs. ACC has been pleased to collaborate with ACEC and other stakeholders on issues relevant to the airport development industry.
