ACC was joined by airport associations and other interested parties in submitting comments to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) regarding the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program. “Generally, the proposed changes would be of significant benefit to many DBE firms and would increase DBE involvement in airport projects,” the comments state. “There is a clear benefit to airport sponsors and all prime firms to have an available pool of trusted business partners who are DBE certified.” ACC thanks the member companies that provided comments and to Belinda Hargrove, owner of TransSolutions, for coordinating ACC’s submittal.
