FAA’s Airport Engineering Division Hosts ACC Engineering Consultants at FAA Headquarters
The FAA Airport Engineering Division hosted a group of ACC consultants at the Washington DC FAA Headquarters yesterday for a productive engagement and discussion on carefully preselected topics in the areas of airport design, construction specifications, construction safety, airfield electrical, etc. Both FAA and ACC representatives are in agreement that it is forums such as these that lead to robust and critical information exchanges on topics key to the industry. The discussions were expertly moderated by Committee Chair Ania Motas (Jacobs) and Vice Chair Tarryn Little (RS&H), with full support from YP Liaison Mosun Ayoola (Key Engineering Group) and ACC VP of Operations and Regulatory Affairs, Sylvia Palmer.
Much gratitude to Mike Meyers, Manager of the Airports Engineering Division, and his team for the great hospitality extended to the group, and to Rich Swayze, FAA Deputy Associate Administrator for Airports, and Patricia Hiatt, Deputy Director of the Office of Airport Safety and Standards, who stopped by the conference room to welcome and visit with the group.
