ACC News | A YP Perspective on PM/CM

The 2024 AAAE/ACC Airport Planning, Design, and Construction Symposium wants to be the best event for young professionals in aviation engaged in planning, environmental issues, architecture and engineering, program and construction management, security, IT, and airport operations. Leadership skills and communication abilities can be improved through professional development workshops. Additionally, it is an opportunity to be informed about new technologies and methods that are revolutionizing the aviation industry. By attending this event, participants can stay current with industry trends; increase networking opportunities, maybe snag a mentor or two as well as position themselves as future leaders. It’s a chance for us to show off what we’ve got and pick the brains of the big guns in the aviation world.

I have been working on planning the PM/CM (Project Management and Construction Management) track for this year’s symposium; it has made me realize how necessary collaboration is and why I should be mindful of upcoming global trends. My involvement with the team in planning this event has extended my knowledge base, offering a platform to showcase my skills while also benefiting from the expertise of experienced professionals within this field. So far, I have loved working collaboratively with other professionals and keeping a close eye on where our industry is headed as well as what we could expect from future innovations.
