Government Relations Internship

Smiths Group is accepting applicants for internships at its Washington, DC Government Relations office. As an intern in this office, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including (but not limited to) attending committee hearings, analyzing government reports and documents, performing data entry, creating presentations and company articles, doing research for members off the office, attending relevant functions, and helping out with general office work. No prior experience is necessary, however, writing and people skills, as well as a proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are required.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for government relations experience, as well as a good resume builder.  Smiths Group internships are unpaid and are intended for the educational benefit of the intern. Airport Facilities Planning Intern

Leigh Fisher, a global transportation management consulting firm, is seeking outstanding candidates with strong technical and quantitative skills and a passion for aviation to work on cutting-edge projects with our Airport Facility Planning practice. Potential project opportunities include:

  • Developing software tools to analyze and communicate aviation data and analyses. 
  • Working with our project teams to develop large-hub airport master plans.
  • Design and model airport runway and taxiway systems.
  • Asses impacts of transportation networking companies (Uber, Lyft) on airport ground access.
  • Conduct strategic and integrated environmental and climate change assessments.
