The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Senior Environmental Planners and support other staff in conducting analyses and preparing project deliverables.  The position will have exposure preparing all levels of NEPA documentation (Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements), Part 150 Noise Compatibility Plans, air quality assessments, and off-airport land use plans. As earned by the candidate, more responsibility will be offered to manage projects.


Conduct research into environmental issues related to airport projects
Prepare input data for use in various airport simulation, noise, and emission models
Conduct field studies for noise, air quality, and land use impact analyses
Support environmental planning studies by preparing written reports, graphics, and presentations
Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, and key stakeholders to achieve projects goals and objectives
Provide on-site client support and assist in public meetings

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s and/ or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Environmental Science, or related degree is required
One to five years of progressively increasing responsibility relative to environmental planning
Understanding of general planning principles and basic understanding of the environment

Preferred Skills and Technical Expertise

Capabilities in ArcView GIS/AutoCad 
Familiarity with Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and Orders pertaining to environmental issues
Familiarity with INM, AEDT, EDMS, and airspace simulation tools

Successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills and a high level of software proficiency. Candidate must have a willingness to travel.
